Voices of the Times – 125 Years of Amberger Kaolinwerke
As one of the oldest subsidiaries of the Quarzwerke Group, Amberger Kaolinwerke is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year—an impressive milestone and a good time to look back.
But this retrospective isn’t just about dates or historical milestones. The focus is on the people who have shaped, supported, and helped develop the company over the decades. We asked employees what they remember: the early days, defining moments, changes in their day-to-day work, and what has remained the same—despite, or perhaps because of, the changes.
These conversations have given rise to a series of interviews we call “Voices of Our Time.” In a personal, relatable, and authentic way, these voices share how work has changed over the decades, what solidarity means, and why a sense of connection is often most evident in the little things.
The series kicks off with two colleagues from the administrative department at Amberger Kaolinwerke. They share their very personal memories of the company’s 125-year history—from their own perspective, reflecting on their experiences, the company’s growth, and what Amberger Kaolinwerke still means to them today.
