Quarzwerke Group receives gold rating from EcoVadis
For us, sustainable business practices are not just a trend, but a responsibility we take seriously. We are therefore delighted that the Quarzwerke Group has been awarded a gold rating by EcoVadis this year—one of the world’s leading platforms for assessing sustainability performance.
This award places us among the top 5 percent of companies worldwide. Among other things, our performance in the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement was evaluated.
The result reflects our sustainability strategy, which we have been consistently pursuing for years. The following aspects were highlighted as particularly positive:
- New guidelines and objectives in all dimensions of sustainability,
- Concrete measures such as generating your own electricity using photovoltaic systems,
- close cooperation between all plants and locations to collect and evaluate relevant key figures.
Our existing ISO certifications in the areas of environment, occupational safety, and energy have also contributed significantly to our success. We will gradually roll out these standards to all locations in the coming years.
