Premiere at the Frechen plant: Successful Safety Day on April 5, 2025

On April 5, 2025, everything at the Frechen plant revolved around safety: For the first time, a Safety Day was held there—a day of action dedicated entirely to strengthening safety awareness and responsible cooperation in everyday work.

All employees at the plant took part in practical training sessions covering important aspects of occupational safety. The focus was on topics such as the correct use of personal protective equipment, the timely recognition of hazards, and the importance of regular safety checks.

After the theoretical part, the program continued with hands-on activities: colleagues were able to directly apply and deepen their knowledge in various participatory activities—for example, in the safe handling of tools or in small competitions on the topic of occupational safety.

Special highlights of the day were two promotional media from BG RCI:

  • A conveyor belt retraction simulator that impressively demonstrated the forces that can be exerted when reaching into running machines.
  • A driving simulator that simulated driving behavior under the influence of up to 1.6 per mille alcohol—a strong signal for the importance of sobriety in road and factory traffic.

The management provided refreshments in the form of a barbecue station, where employees could enjoy a bite to eat and chat during their lunch break.

The event concluded successfully with a get-together, where participants shared their impressions in a relaxed atmosphere, made new contacts, and strengthened their sense of community.

The first Safety Day at the Frechen plant was a resounding success—a day that not only provided information and raised awareness, but also promoted team spirit. Safety concerns us all—every day!
