It’s a shape somewhere between a circle and a triangle, soft and angular at the same time. And this combination is no coincidence. In today’s Throwback Thursday, we take a look at the history of our logo.

The collaboration between Henkel AG & Co. KGaA and Quarzwerke is much more than a business relationship—it is a piece of living industrial history. Ninety-five years ago, Quarzwerke was already supplying the Düsseldorf-based company with high-quality quartz flour—a raw material that was of central importance for the production of abrasives.
How does it feel to become part of a company whose products are found in countless everyday objects—yet hardly anyone is aware of them? This question hung unspoken in the air as new employees of Amberger Kaolinwerke gathered for their information day. The goal: to gain a deeper understanding of our raw materials kaolin, quartz, and feldspar—and what they make possible.
With the founding of the Alliance for Biodiversity, Quarzwerke, together with numerous companies and organizations, is sending a clear signal for the preservation of biological diversity.
Working together for a climate-friendly future for industry
The Quarzwerke Group is proud to be an official member of the Cluster for Decarbonization of Industry (CDI). This step underscores our clear commitment to sustainable and climate-friendly industrial processes.
